Amos Pewter designs and hand-crafts pewter gifts and keepsakes in an open studio located on the Halifax Waterfront, in Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove and at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
Our artisans began making pewter gifts and keepsakes in 1974 in the vacant boat building shop (circa 1880) that houses the Mahone Bay workshop today.
Call ahead for a free guided tour (Mahone Bay) or visit our interpretive workshops where our talented Artisans will show you how molten pewter is cast into sculptures, candle holders, jewelry, collectible ornaments and other keepsakes.

We loved this place. There are more locations in many of the tourist spots. The pewter demo are fun and interesting. They have beautiful, reasonably priced items. Buy something actually made in the area instead of cheap plastic junk from somewhere else.

Each of us bought our favorite goods here. The design is very ingenious. Originally, I wanted to buy a small cat-shaped photo clip. But I found that dogs, monkeys, frogs and lizards of the same sequence had facial features, but cats did not. Finally, I bought a lobster claw-shaped keychain.

We did the hands-on tour/experience to learn how pewter designs are crafted. Our guide Kerrie and the team were amazing! A fun and truly informative process for learning the blood, sweat and tears that go into designing each piece. The store has beautifully crafted pieces that are affordable and truly unique.
