Operating in a circa-1813 building — one of the oldest commercial structures still in use in Nova Scotia.
Built using salvaged oak timbers from the privateer ship Teazer, which burned and sank in Mahone Bay the same year. Two waterfront decks at 36 Water Street on Chester's Front Harbour. Fresh Nova Scotia seafood; cult following for the light-cream shellfish chowder, oatmeal cake, and Rope Loft Burger.

Servers are friendly — they are super busy and working hard! Excellent lobster roll and seafood chowder. Perfectly cooked scallops. Great cocktails and mocktails. Good vibes all around.

I've made it my mission to try a lobster roll at every restaurant I go to this summer. So far, the Rope Loft has the most lobster meat in said rolls. Also very delicious.
