The Mahone Bay Tourism & Chamber of Commerce is a non- profit organization founded and operated by members and volunteers from various businesses and organizations on Nova Scotia’s South Shore.  We foster growth and prosperity by promoting local collaboration and cooperation.

While we are located in Mahone Bay the MBTCC work with businesses from across our Province. This enables many businesses who would not normally be able to offer health benefit packages to take advantage of our Chamber Plan, which provides cost effective solutions to all members. We would love to welcome you into our network, please see our store for details of the membership types that we currently offer.

What is the function of the Chamber of Commerce

The Mahone Bay Tourism & Chamber of Commerce is an organization of businesses, professionals, and local volunteers whose goals are to promote local interests, build a healthy economy, and sustain/grow the community’s tourism and business environments. Through the Chamber, there are many ways to do business, build business connections, access business expertise, and market to local, regional, national and international communities.

As a non-profit organization, the Chamber’s strategic focus aligns with Chambers and Board of Trade throughout Canada.  The organization’s management is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the members.  Board members represent various industry sectors within the business community.  Drawing from the membership, ad hoc committees are formed to manage the Chamber’s core governance functions, such as financial management and special operations/initiatives, such as Festivals and the Visitor Information Centre. The Chamber’s board is committed to continually seek opportunities to increase benefits to the members they serve.
